Our mandate
The Narcotics Control Wing was formed in 2013 to strengthen provincial action against the trafficking and abuse of narcotic drugs, opium, illicit liquor and intoxicating preparations.
The wing operates under the Director General, Narcotics Control, and works with other law-enforcement agencies to build dependable intelligence sharing, coordinated field operations and a sustained enforcement presence across Sindh.
Core responsibilities
The wing combines prevention, enforcement, intelligence and institutional cooperation to address illicit narcotics activity throughout the province.
Identify and disrupt illicit narcotics activity through targeted prevention, inspection and detection measures.
Maintain an operational presence through check posts, police stations and field teams, with focus on highways and bordering areas.
Develop dependable mechanisms for collecting, assessing and sharing actionable information across enforcement units.
Work alongside provincial and federal law-enforcement bodies to support synchronized narcotics-suppression efforts.
Operational approach
A connected enforcement model helps information move quickly from initial detection to field response and inter-agency coordination.
