Karachi - The Excise and Taxation Department Sindh has collected tax of Rs.26044 million during the fiscal year 2012-13. According to details, the department during May 2013 Rs.26044 million was deposited in the National exchequer, from which Rs.3159million was collected as motor vehicle tax, cotton fees of Rs.135 million, Rs.234 million as professional tax, Rs.142 million as Hotel tax and Rs.1338 million as property tax. Further the Excise and Taxation Department is trying to ensure timely collection of taxes so that the government can complete development schemes within time.
